1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Story Blanks ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms apply to all versions of Story Blanks including the web app and any mobile app versions.
2. Description of Service
Story Blanks is an AI-powered fill-in-the-blank story generator for entertainment purposes. Content is generated automatically by AI and we make no guarantees about its accuracy, appropriateness, or fitness for any purpose.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Story Blanks. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Story Blanks offers monthly and lifetime subscription plans. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service.
- Monthly subscriptions automatically renew each month until cancelled.
- Lifetime subscriptions are a one-time payment with no recurring charges.
- You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law.
6. Third-Party App Distribution
If you download Story Blanks through a third-party app store (such as the Google Play Store), that store's terms of service also apply to your use of the App as distributed through that platform. All payments and subscriptions, however, are processed exclusively through Lemon Squeezy as described in Section 5.
7. Your Content and Inputs
You are solely responsible for the words and content you enter into Story Blanks. You agree not to input content that is:
- Illegal, threatening, or harassing
- Defamatory or infringing on third-party rights
- Sexual or inappropriate content involving minors
- Designed to harm, exploit, or deceive others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service.
8. AI-Generated Content
Stories generated by Story Blanks are produced by AI and may be unpredictable, nonsensical, or occasionally inappropriate. We do not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for AI-generated output. You use AI-generated content at your own discretion.
9. Social Features
Story Blanks includes a social feed where users may share generated stories. By sharing a story, you grant Story Blanks a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content within the App. You may delete your shared stories at any time. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
10. Intellectual Property
The Story Blanks app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by The Striped Fox. AI-generated stories produced during your session are provided for your personal use. Do not use Story Blanks to reproduce copyrighted material.
11. No Warranty
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or that the service will meet your needs. We are not responsible for any loss of data.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Story Blanks and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, lost profits, or damages from AI-generated content. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Story Blanks and its owners from any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Story Blanks at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
15. Changes to Service or Terms
We may modify or discontinue Story Blanks at any time without notice. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in courts located in Arizona. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
