Story Blanks ("we", "us", "our") is operated by The Striped Fox. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our web app or mobile app.

2. Information We Collect

Account information — your email address and encrypted password when you register.

Payment information — processed securely by Lemon Squeezy, our sole payment processor and merchant of record. We never see or store your full card number or payment details.

Usage data — story prompts and inputs you enter, generated stories, stories you save or share.

Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and general location (country/region level).

Display name — a username you optionally choose, shown on social posts.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Story Blanks service
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send essential account emails (receipts, password resets)
• To detect and prevent abuse or misuse of the service
• To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns

4. What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal data to third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising purposes
• We do not share your information except as described in this policy
• We do not use your story content to train AI models

5. Third-Party Services

Story Blanks uses the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage (supabase.com/privacy)
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and subscription management (lemonsqueezy.com/privacy)
• Google Play — app distribution only, if you download Story Blanks via the Google Play Store. Google does not process payments for Story Blanks subscriptions (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Groq — AI inference for story generation. Story prompts are sent to Groq's API (groq.com/privacy)
• Cloudflare — app hosting, CDN, and security (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Saved and shared stories are retained until you delete them or your account. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Story Blanks is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at cbusinessact@proton.me and we will delete it promptly.

Users between 13 and 18 should have parental or guardian consent before using the App.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Opt out of non-essential data collection
• Data portability — receive a copy of your data

If you are located in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing your personal data is the performance of our contract with you (providing the service you subscribed to) and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service. We comply with applicable Arizona privacy laws. Arizona residents may contact us to request access to or deletion of their personal data.

12. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in accordance with applicable law.
